The section is titled "Finding A Lost Passport" and it fully explains the first message from Richard

Message from Richard
Thanks very much for the lovely photos on my Facebook Page
Great to see your “awesome” Team !!
I was going to suggest you could use the story on your Post Office Facebook Page
but I don’t expect Australia Post would like it as they refused to do anything to help
despite repeated heartfelt pleas from my daughters over Twitter and it wouldn’t show them in a particularly good light, eh !!
I also suspect that it’s not normal to allow members of the public into the Mail Centre on a Sunday,
but we are incredibly grateful that you managed to arrange this for us
This time last week it seemed like our daughters would not be coming home anytime soon !!
I hope you don’t mind me asking (and please say if you would prefer not to talk about it) but may I ask who Tanya is ??
Looks like she was a Very Special Person

Great to see that Your Son made it to the top of Kilimanjaro (REFER HERE) ... an amazing achievement !!
Glad you liked the Flowers and it was lovely to see the photos of them
The wonders of the internet which can arrange for delivery so quickly on the other side of the world !!
Also glad you have no cats as that Lily in the Flowers looks particularly large and dangerous to felines !!
Hope to keep in touch
Best wishes

Sharon
Hi, Richard
Tanya is Our Beautiful Daughter
And we do not mind you asking about her at all
She was killed by a drunk driver on Saturday 11th May 2013 at 7.00am in the morning
She was a Triathlete and Ironman and was riding her bike out to meet us for a Cross Fit Workout
Below is the link to Her Memorial Page which my husband Geoff has made
It is a Huge Labour of Love and it is updated regularly
http://www.ronebergcairns.com/2013onwards/tanya2013_100.html
We have a Family Website also built and maintained by Geoff
http://www.ronebergcairns.com/
There are approximately 200,000 photos on it !!
This includes Our Family Histories, Our Son Brett's Professional Baseball Career
and Tanya's Diaries and Photos of her Two Year Working Holiday where she was based in London (REFER HERE)
She absolutely loved it over there and Her Diaries are there for us to read and reread at the click of a button !!
I can hear her voice when I read them !!
We miss her more than life itself ... some days are harder than others
We try to stay strong for each other, and try to live the kind of life she did
Experience new challenges, laugh a lot, be a good, kind friend to lots of people !!
She was Our Son's Greatest Fan and he misses her
She is in his heart on his travels hence the " T " sign in his Mount Kilamanjaro photo
Hope you have a chance to look at some of Tanya's Albums ... PS - it could take you six months !!
Regards

Richard
Oh gosh, Sharon, I’m so very sorry to hear about this
Thank you for sharing Her Story with me so openly
I really don’t know how I would cope if this were to happen to one of our girls
But it sounds like you are doing lots of amazing and positive things in memory of her
She sounds like a remarkable young lady and I will have a look at Her Memorial Page
I struggled badly with the loss of my Mum to cancer almost four years ago
I've had bouts of depression since then and am currently back on medication for this
Thankfully I am being helped by CBT and Mindfulness Courses
Although I left my church a year or so ago (for different reasons), I still just about hang on to a Faith In God
who has helped me through difficult times, although it’s hard to believe when tragedies happen
I used to think that you "get over" losing someone in time but since my Mum passed away
I have learnt a lot about grief and that you don’t really get over it but have to learn to live with it, embrace it at times,
accept that it sometimes gets worse again and realise that it shows how much you loved that person
Someone said something like ... "Don’t concentrate on how much you miss the person that you loved
but on how much you love the person you miss"
Thinking of you and your family and thanking you for the kindness you showed to us,
which is certainly evidence of you "trying to live the kind of life Tanya did"

Sharon
Thank you so much ... your words are really nice

Richard
Do you have a Charity in Tanya's Memory
or a Charity you particularly support as I would like to make a donation in Memory Of Her, please ??

Geoff
Hi Again, Richard
No, there is no charity in Memory of Tanya
When this incident happened,
her Class-Mates from "Smithfield High 1992" got together and arranged The Memorial Plaque at Trinity Beach
I guess you would have seen this on her web site that Sharon sent you
In addition, The Road Safety Council have invited Sharon and Brett to Conferences and School Assemblys
all over Queensland to speak on road safety, and in particular, drink driving
( this offence was titled 'drink driving causing death ... the full penalty is fourteen years
this person received one year ... I truly hate our so-called justice system )
( my thoughts ?? ... this offence should be classed as murder with an all-of-life sentence imposed )

The Cordery Family ... thank you for making this Donation Offer
Your Heartfelt Thoughts and Beautiful Feelings are enough
Regards

Richard
Thanks, Geoff, and thanks for talking about this ... I know it must be hard
I have the same feelings as you about the penalties for drink driving
I’ll look out for a suitable charity to give my money to
We were given a generous gift recently and we would like to give 10% of this to charity
Best wishes

Geoff
Thank You ... You People Equal A Terrific Family !!
And plan to come to Cairns Queensland for your next Holiday !!

Richard
I've just donated £50.00 to SCARD ...  http://www.scard.org.uk
This organisation supports people who have been through similar to what you have
and their sister organisation campaigns against drink driving
Please accept this as my tribute in Memory of Your Wonderful Daughter
I hope we can stay in touch via Facebook
Our daughters followed our footsteps
as Rachel and I did a similar trip from Sydney to Cape Tribulation in 1995 before we had children
Would love to go back to Cairns again one day and see more of the Reef
Best wishes
PS - Some Notes On SCARD ... "Support and Care After Road Death and Injury"
Losing a loved one or friend is devastating
and the suffering and emotional impact caused by incidents on the road can be far-reaching

Geoff
One Word === Fantastic !!

Richard
Hope our conversation on here didn’t make you too emotional on a Monday morning
It still seems weird that I was messaging you not long before my bedtime on Sunday
while you were just starting your Monday morning !!
Hope you both have a good week ... I'm just starting two weeks off work
Visiting my family in Essex at the weekend
but otherwise enjoying the sunshine on the south coast around Christchurch where we live
I’ll sign off for now but I’m sure there will be lots of Facebook Posts from me
clogging up your news feed over the next two weeks !!

Sharon
Hey, Richard ... and we always get emotional about Tanya all the time
She is in Our Hearts and Minds every minute of the day
I really like to talk about her and am never hesitant to do so
I want everyone to know how special she is !!
Enjoy your break and the lovely weather ... it will be nice to see all your travels via the internet

Thursday 7th November 2019 ... Lisa Nicole McGowan  /  Lisa Jensz

Lisa
Hello Sharon
I’m a friend of Tanya's ... we worked together at MacDonnell's Law
One day Tanya told me about how she wanted to do 'Run Disney'
I had never even heard of such a thing ... plus I have never run anywhere !!
I was always that kid begging to get out of Physical Education at school
Ever since Tanya has been gone, I have been thinking about signing up to do a 'Run Disney' for her
Every year the sign ups roll around but you have to sign up months in advance because the events sell out
The other problem was that I couldn’t actually run more than five hundred metres !!
In March 2019 I decided to try and sign up
I wanted to do the Ten Kilometre because I thought it would be enough of a challenge
I went online the day the event opened up and it had sold out
The only way I could actually sign up was to do the two course challenge
which was a Ten Kilometre on a Saturday followed by a Twenty One Point Three Kilometre on the Sunday
I signed up and started training
My first training run was on The Esplanade and it was terrible
I was jogging and half dragging myself along at 19:07 minutes per mile
To complete the race you need to do under 16 minutes per mile which isn’t fast
but it seemed like it was going to be very hard at the time
I’m happy to say that with Tanya pushing me along, I finished the races on 2nd and 3rd November 2019
and there are ten photos further below
I think of Tanya most days but she has been there with me on every training run for the last eight months
And I completed the Ten Kilometre in a personal best time !!
It wasn’t fast but I got it done at 13 minutes per mile
My husband Michael made me a 'Special Shirt' with Tanya’s name on it so she could push me along during the half marathon !!
I just wanted to let you know that without Tanya I wouldn’t have done something that I’m so proud of
Hope you are well
Kind regards
Lisa Jensz

Geoff
Hi, Lisa, and it is Geoff here
Can only say one thing ... "What A Beautiful Note"
Sharon and I read it with tears in our eyes
You are a Special-Special Person
Sharon had to head off to work at 6.30am
She is the Manager of the North Cairns Post Office on Sheridan Street
And you can expect a note from her this evening
We love the photos
CONGRATULATIONS - TO - YOU - ON - YOUR - EFFORTS - AND - DETERMINATION
I bet Tanya Mary had a Glass of Mango Wine to Celebrate !! !!

Lisa
Hi, Geoff ... and Thanks
I haven’t had much of a Celebration Drink as yet
I’m still recovering !!

Sharon
Hi, Lisa - it's Sharon here
I have been thinking about you and Tanya all day !!
I received your note just as I was heading off to work and I was pretty teary I can tell you !!
I don't even know you and yet I am so proud of you !!
You must be feeling on top of the world !!
I am so proud of Tanya too
Proud that she inspired the desire in you to do something that was very hard ... for her and for yourself
You could have done this quietly all by yourself with your own thoughts and feelings
But the kindest thing you have done is to write your beautiful note and let us know
We are so thankful
I want to tell everybody what you did !!
Tanya's Birthday is on Saturday ... and to me this is a 'sign' from her !!
She knows what you did ... have no doubt !!
I love your shirt with Tanya's name it too ... so special !!
If you are ever doing another run please contact us again ... we would love to come and support you !!
Our very best to you

Lisa
Good morning ... sorry for the delayed reply
I’m still in the United States for another week or so
I’ll pop by the Post Office when I get back

Sharon
Will be lovely to see you
