Saturday 15th March 2014 ... Sharon to Natasha Adams

Hi Natasha
Today another year has passed since your Mothers tragic passing
I have been thinking of you and your Grandmother quite a bit lately
I think of how your Grandmother has to cope with the loss of her daughter and continue on
I wonder how we will be after nine years ... I can hardly bear to think about it
I think of you and how you have to cope with the loss of your Mother in such a terrible way and how your Mother never met her beautiful grandchildren
The world can be a sad place sometimes without our loved ones with us
You told us that your Grandmother is an extraordinary woman ... stong, gracious and kind in spite of a hard life
I think you are not far behind her, Natasha ... strong and kind and reaching out to us to help us with our terrible loss and simply showing us you care
We will always be grateful and always remember
The thoughtful caring people around us ... mostly Tanya's friends ... have helped us survive this year
As another year passes for you, I hope you too have thoughtful caring friends and family around you to help you continue lifes journey
Please give our love to your Grandmother and your Family and there is a 'big hug winging' it's way to you from us

Sorry for not replying straight away, but have just stopped now after a busy day with kids, my Nana and Dad
I showed Nana your message above at morning tea today and she told me "this is just lovely Tash" while she was reading it
And at the end, she said "yes, I am strong, and I don't know what else to be?"
So thank you for your kind words and your caring thoughts for my lovely Nana
Nana, Dad, the three kids and I had a great afternoon at Holloways Beach, throwing flowers in the ocean (floral litter !!), a swim, and then fish and chips watching the full moon come up
I told the kids "I'm so grateful that Nana-Nat (what mum wanted to be called when she found out she was going to be a grandmother) was a part of our lives ... we wouldn't be having this lovely afternoon together here, if we didn't come out here to remember her"
I hope you are both well, looking after yourselves and each other
Thank you for the 'winged hug' !! ... sending one back atchya's !!

Today is the start of a shitty reality for me knowing a year has gone by and they're not coming back !!
Grandad I can accept because it's the circle of life but I can't yet accept losing Tanya
I'm so angry and it doesn't matter what I try, I just can't seem to get my head around it
I would love to be able to sit down with a bottle of vodka right now !!

Feel the same way, and will never accept what happened
I want my 'anger' because it fuels my 'hate' and this will help with what I need to do later
Have the best day you can, my friend, but I know that sometimes that's impossible
( the alcohol helps and one day we will have a bottle !!! !!! )

Can't believe it's been eleven months ... but then again I guess I can
Was thinking about how I hope Tanya had shared some experiences with me even though she's gone
Soon it will be one year and I know it's going to break your heart all over again
Please know that we're all here for you
We love our girl and we love you too

Yes, I also think that The Kid is by my side when I'm doing or seeing something she would like
Bethany, you write such beautiful and heartfelt thoughts
I am so very, very glad you are coming along on Mother's Day
Though it's going to be damn awful, I have promised myself to do my best on the day for Sharon
And by then the "Secret Plaque" should have been mounted on The Rock
I am planning to go for a walk to the top of The Stairs with Tanya
( hope she's listening ... Tanya, I said WALK, okay !! )
You are a "special person" and part of this family of Tanya's

Sharon had to work today and it probably will be pouring rain when she gets home at around 6.00pm
We like to say "hello", especially on the 11th, so I went to Trinity and had a chat and left her some flowers ... HERE

She said to say "Hi Miss Knights" and is 'very damn pleased' you got the Venetian Mask !! ... HERE

These 'name dates' are the worst and today wasn't a great day
When I arrived home and went in to change, the light in our bathroom that comes on randomly, was on
It makes me a little happy when it comes on ... like she is trying to comfort me
There was also a big bunch of colourful flowers from Kelly Richardson ... HERE
She is the friend of Tanya's whose son has a terminal illness
There was also these lovely messages from you
My sad day was made better by Tanya's friends reminding me how much they loved her and care for us

Hi Sharon
We haven't met before but I was a friend of your daughters through working together and riding
I hope you didn't mind me adding you so I could keep in touch with her family
I just wanted to send you a message to thank you for raising such a wonderful girl
Tanya was such a positive and beautiful hearted girl who cared for others with such passion
You could never miss the pride that she had in her family and she would often sit in the lunchroom telling us great stories about you all
It's such a tragedy that she is gone, but the memories she has created and the lives she has touched will always be there
Seeing you, your husband and Brett, it shows she came from such a wonderful family and no wonder she was such a great gal !!
So thank you so much for blessing the world with her, cos it's a better place for having her in it for the years she was here !!
If there is anything I can ever do for you guys, please let me know

We are astounded by the contact we have had from people who knew Tanya and were touched by her
I like that you and others care about us and wish to stay in contact ... Facebook is so great for that
I miss Tanya so much that sometimes I can hardly bear it
That's when I need to go for a run or take some deep breaths and remember what a wonderful daughter we have and all the good times
We are proud she had such a positive impact on so many people

"Wow! Tanya Roneberg, I didn't even know you, but your legacy has inspired me
I am deeply moved by the public support and how you continue to touch the lives of so many
I know many did today's Memorial Bike Ride for Tanya, but, I did this for you, Sharon
And although I lost sight of the 'pack' and straggled in way late as the last one to reach the finish line,
I remembered your strength and courage over the past year and that kept me peddling onwards
I'm in awe of the love and peace you share with us amidst your pain
May today be another milestone of the love you share with your wonderful husband Geoff
and your son Brett and all those who continue to carry on Tanya's attitude of 'Never give up' ... xxxooo"

Hi, and I have been trying to find time to contact you today to let you know about a very strange but wonderful dream I had about Tanya last night
First we were together waiting for a cruise ship but they kept passing us
Then Brett and Kahlia turned up in a big white car ... we jumped in the back and went up a big mountain
We were going around lots of corners and playing that game corners tgat you do when you're a kid
Tanya was laughing and was so happy
The car went up and up this mountain for ages
It stopped and Brett no longer looked like Brett ... he was the actor Brendan Fraser and had no top on and had dreadlocks
Tanya said "Brett, you have turned into Encino Man" (which was a movie from the 90's about a caveman) and we all laughed hysterically
Weird because I don't actually know Brett or Kahlia and beautiful because she was right next to me in the car with the most beautiful smile
No idea what the whole 'Encino Man' thing was about but I've felt really happy about it all day
Just made me feel like wherever she is, she is happy
I just thought you might like to know
Hope you're both doing okay

What a great dream ... I love it !!
I know why the cruise ship kept passing you ... it was on it's way to Cairns with one of Tanya's friends Kelly Richardson and her family in it !!
We met up with them for an hour before they had to board to be on their way again
We all have always liked Brendan Fraser too and I thought 'Encino Man' was a great movie and I know Tanya liked it too
Not sure about Brett though !!
Thanks for sharing this Jacqui ... it has made me happy too
We are doing okay ... not great, not amazing but okay and that's okay !!

She'll be with us tonight !!
It was always one of her favourite nights of the year and now one of the times we miss her most
