Not sure if you can do anything to help us
My daughters are in Cairns at the moment and one had left her passport at a hostel in Airlie Beach
It was posted up to Cairns and supposed to have arrived by now but it has not arrived
We believe it is in a depot but Australia Post cannot help us as they say there is no-one there today
My daughters need to catch a flight home to the United Kingdom at 3.00pm today
My daughter needs urgent dental treatment and has an emergency appointment on Monday morning here
She also needs to get to her University for her Graduation on Wednesday
Is there any kind soul who would be able to track down the passport and retrieve it for her, please ??

I understand it may be impossible to find it today but it would be amazing if you could

I worked at the Mail Centre for thirteen years so I knew who to ring and where to look !!
The funny thing is I didn't even have to get out of my lounge chair !!

The girls had a fantastic time, thank you
Charlotte is in a lot of pain with a wisdom tooth which caused problems towards the end of their stay
She will now be able to get to the dentist appointment pretty much as soon as she gets home tomorrow
She got a First Class Degree at University
so it would have been especially gutting if she had missed her Graduation on Wednesday
The passport was sent by Express Post
but the sender did not sign the dangerous goods declaration so it could not go by plane !!
We tried Australia Post by Facebook and Twitter pleading with them without success
and it was a last ditch attempt contacting you via Facebook
You seemed to be the only post office in Cairns with a Facebook Page
and it’s nothing short of miraculous that we found you
We can let you know when the girls get home if you like
