Dearest Sharon
Tanya was not only my statistician bench buddy,
she was so much more
I feel like I know you so well
after all that Tanya shared about her beautiful family
You and I have a lot in common
My son went of to the States on a Basketball Scholarship
and my daughter lived and traveled overseas just like Tanya did
All the while I had your beautiful girl beside me to tell stories
to about their exploits and she was always interested in what
they were doing and I was also excited to tell her my news
because we had that connection
She loved her family as I did
and I felt you and I would have many things in common
You can be rest assured that her spirit will be kept alive by,
not only her closest friends, but "mother's" like myself
who knew and loved what she represented
She made me laugh a lot and she would also frustrate the hell
out of me ... but she always, always came back smiling
and inspired me to "get over it" becasue she did also
We would have some stressful moments during games
and we might have lost the plot for a while
but in no time we were back on track
I felt a bit like the "mother hen" with Shondelle,
Jess and Tanya
I will never ever walk into a basketball game
and not be thinking of Our Beautiful Girl
Her vivacious smile is how I remember her
and those "pretty shoes" !!
Tonight is going to be tough one for me
but never as tough as it is for you

Hi Andrea, and thanks for your words
Made me quite tearful actually ... made me laugh too
We know Tanya in her "I am right - do it my way" mood
!!
But God she was a great girl ... we miss her so much
I am glad she was a good friend to you
Many of her friends from all areas of her life have,
like you, told us what she meant to them
She was truly interested in her friends, their families and their
lives
I love remembering all the special things she did for us
Always so thoughtful ... she had a plan for everything !!
Being without her is so hard but she is with me
every minute of the day and that is how I want it to be
Hard to believe it is a year since the last Taipans' Ball
I helped Tanya get ready in her beautiful blue dress ... HERE
