During February 2013

There were a number of Golden Cane Palms around the entrance to the Complex which were planted 'many years ago'
and they have all grown very well but each plant had sent up trunks which really did nothing for the overall appearance
By cutting these down, each palm was given a new appearance. looking like they were all planted just yesterday !!
As well as the Golden Cane Palms, there was a tree or two that also had to go

Establishing Garden Beds

Following the above work, Leon Nelson, the Cairns Baseball League's Grounds Controller,
wanted to build garden beds around groups of trees

Ritchie Mounsey is renovating his backyard
and donated a big ute load of secondhand sleepers and these are being used as edging

Leon is now starting to add soil to each of these areas ...
