Brett was interviewed at the Trinity Beach Baseball Complex in Cairns - he was training with Ritchie Mounsey, and it was the final session before flying to Brisbane the next day to compete in The Claxton Shield Tournament - Brett speaks about the chances for the Queensland Rams, especially with their strong pitching staff - he also mentions his 'solo' training regime in Cairns, plus his contract and prospects for the 2008 season - interview done on Thursday 3rd January 2008

This article was published in the Altoona Mirror and looks at the make-up of the Curve for the 2008 season - the article says "the former Pirates regime cared greatly about winning in the minors, but that’s not the case anymore" and also states "the Pirates used to send the Curve a bunch of older free agents, and now that’s finished" - Brett is mentioned as one of the "older free agents" - the comments are made by the new Pirates Farm Director, Kyle Stark - article published on Wednesday 16th January 2008
