Hello all

This letter serves as official notification of your invite to attend the National Team Summer Program and Selection Camp
Congratulations

Attached you will find a detailed Program and Schedule that also includes the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Taiwan, which you are probably aware is the primary focus of this program

As a basic outline, your attendance in camp will be required from February 21st to March 3rd
Then if selected, from March 4th to March 15th for the Qualifying Tournament itself

The camp will commence in Sydney, before moving to the Gold Coast and will involve exhibition games against New South Wales, Queensland and the Canadian National Team

Players not successful in making the final team will be flown back to their home states as soon as selections become apparent
This may involve some players breaking from camp early, while others will remain until the final squad is announced on March 3rd

The final team will depart Brisbane for Taiwan on March 4th, and depending on individual circumstance, either return home or continue to the US/Asia to resume professional commitments on March 15th

It should also be noted that the make-up of the final team is likely to include players who have already commenced Spring Training overseas (Non MLB 40-man roster players only)
These players will be flown directly to Taiwan to meet the squad

As usual, the Australian Baseball Federation will cover the costs of all travel, accommodation, meals and uniforms associated with the program

Full program details including travel itineraries, accommodation information and other specific requirements are being finalised and will follow once all players have confirmed their attendance at camp
