Identified as a prospect - this letter from the Australian Baseball Federation advised Brett that he has been "identified as a prospect" for the Olympic program - it also included information on the ABF Anti-Doping Policy, along with the required consent form - full details of the activities between now and August 2004 were included, along with the advice that the Olympic Shadow Squad would be selected in late September

Friday 26th September 2003
Selected into the Shadow Squad!!! - a Squad of fourty-two players has been selected, from which the Olympic Team will be chosen - this letter advised Brett that he is required to attend an Australian Olympic Processing Camp to be held in Sydney from the 23rd-25th October - also included the 'Consent to Consideration for Nomination' form which he had to complete and return

Olympic Processing Camp - as mentioned in the letter from the Australian Baseball Federation on Friday 26th September, Brett was required to attend the Olympic Processing Camp during October 2003 - this letter appeared on the AOC web site, and contains a few notes on the Camp along with details on the clothing each athlete will receive ..........each athlete will receive over 100 items!!!

A commemorative monument to the "1956 Cairns to Melbourne Olympic Torch Relay" was unveiled, and Brett attended the ceremonies

December 2003
Tanya is hoping to travel from London to Athens next year to see Brett in the Olympics - she ordered this Travel and Ticket Programme to start making her arrangements and it was posted to our home - I looked at it, and then forwarded it to her in London - after receiving it, she rang and asked if I saw Brett's photo - which I didn't!!! - her eyes are much better than mine!!! - so here it is!!! - Brett was on 'page three' of the programme, and I have enlarged his photo - he is in one of his Olympic outfits, and is watching Australia competing in the basketball
