Wednesday 4th November 2009 This invitation arrived in the post yesterday ... and I opened it ... but I didn't break any of your Post Office Laws because it was addressed to both of us !! Thought about it ... and decided to get rid of you for a few days ... the Wedding in 2006 and the School Reunion in 2007 were both in Adelaide ... too close ... this time you'll be on the other side of the country which is probably far enough !! Also below are the flight details ... for one person ... I am not getting on anything I can't steer !! Got the flight insurance cause you're always forgetting and losing stuff ... plus extra room for those lovely long legs of yours, and as you'll read below, to have this benefit you have to be willing to assist the crew in evacuating the aircraft in an emergency ... and "that" would be great fun to watch !! Have a Great Time !! PS #1a - Lesley, Laurence, Knowlton and Fiona all got 'blind-copies' of the email you just opened ... so they know by now that you are on your way ... and are desparately trying to think of excuses why they can't get to Perth ... just hope that somebody, besides the YMCA, can put you up for a few nights !! PS #1b - a note to those four ... please don't respond to this page or email until you hear from your Sister ... it is around midday Wednesday here in Queensland and Sharon will not read this until tonight at about 7.30pm ... don't wanna spoil the surprise, and I'd guess she'll write to you all then PS #2 - I have not arranged anything with Australia Post ... you'll have to see about getting Friday 8th and Monday 11th January off ... and you're 'The Boss' so you should be able to do that, eh PS #3 - the complete invitation is at the moment underneath the washing basket ... you better go get it !! PS #4 - the "Gift List" ... nah, don't need that ... you being there is worth more than any old toaster !! PS #5 - the normal travel conditions apply ... enough money must be left here for me to live on 'BigMacs' and 'FishnChips' and 'CocaCola' while you're away PS #6 - poor Old Santa ... he's broke !! ... and it's only November !! ... bah humbug !! |
