Hi Darling
This invitation arrived a few days ago, and after opening it I
thought it would be a great time to go to Adelaide
The wedding, and a chance to catch up with your family and friends
So I didn't let you know about it - and now all the arrangements
have been made!!!
Firstly, your flight details are below
Secondly, I have spoken to Lesley
She is quite happy to pick you up from the airport on Thursday
and drop you back there on Sunday - provided you throw in a few
dollars for petrol and parking
She will also give you three night's accommodation
This took a bit of persuading, but she finally agreed on condition
that you make your bed each day, do the dishes at night, and mow
the lawns at least once while you are there!!!
Thirdly, I spoke to Graham Dalton at the Post Office about how
to arrange holidays and the "travel bylaw" without you
knowing anything
He suggested that I contact Jon Cleary, which I did
All the details were sorted out, plus he has now given you the
Monday off work to recover from your trip "half-way around
the world"!!!
When speaking to Lesley, she said that "quite a few"
people will be there
However, Fiona and Denys will not be attending, and Lesley is
not sure whether it is because (a) you will be there, or (b) they
will be celebrating their wedding anniversary in the Maldives,
whatever and wherever that is!!!
Now, I wasn't going to tell you about this for a while, and Lesley,
Graham Dalton and Jon Cleary have all been sworn to secrecy!!!
But I decided to tell you because there is a bit of paper work
to do at the Post Office (you being the boss and all!!!)
Plus, and most importantly, there are only about thirty-five days
before the wedding and you will probably need every minute to
walk around and visit a million shops looking for a new outfit
to wear!!!
Finally, you know what I think
of flying!!! - so I will be staying at home!!!
Therefore, it is important that enough money is left here for
me to have fish'n'chips one night, Kentucky Fried the next, and
a feed of Big Macs the next night!!!
