The 2003/2004 Off-Season

Back in Cairns!!!
Brett returned from the United States on Wednesday 10th September 2003

The Australian Baseball Federation had various Tournaments scheduled,
but these were not starting until the new year

However, as was the case last off-season, games were still being played in the Cairns Baseball League Competition
with the Finals being held during late September/early October

Once again, Brett was invited to join
The (Playpen) Cubs
and played his first game on Wednesday 10th September 2003 - the day he arrived back in Cairns!!!

Last year, Brett had some terrific games with The Cubs,
and was a major part of their victory in both the Cairns Baseball League's Finals Series
and The Inter City Club Challenge bewtween Cairns and Townsville
(for all the details of these games, click here)

Unfortunately this year he was unable to play enough games to qualify for the Finals Series
and could only participate in the regular fixture games

However he had a great time, playing in both the infield and outfield
plus stepping on to the mound to pitch a few innings
plus catching in one of the games (......and he's a lefty!!!)

Below are his statistics, along with the game reports from the Cairns Post newspaper in which he is mentioned
