Antique (???) Brass Cot

NOTE - there are several photos on this page, and it will take a few extra seconds to download
The pictures are in sequence, and it is best to let it download completely, and then scroll down

We cannot even remember how we aquired this item!!!
But it was a very long time ago!!!
Tanya slept in it, with Brett moving in a few years later!!!

It has been sitting around in carports and sheds
getting marked,
going rusty,
the brass tarnishing,
and this can be seen in the "before" photos below

***************************************************************

We decided to have it restored

Took the frame to 'The Blast Shed'
and they sandblasted, primed, and applied the white lacquer/finish
The cost - $200.00

The brass fittings were given to the Endeavour Industries Foundation for polishing
The cost - $40.00

***********************************************************************

AND HERE IS THE FINISHED RESULT

Definately worth the $240.00 restoration cost!!!

Important - see the note below the photos

January 2003 - for those wondering - NO!!!, Sharon is not pregnant!!! - repeat, NO!!!
Just thought we would get it ready for any grand-children that might come along!!!
