Dan, the rope is PERFECT !!
I told you we were going to paint it red
BUT ... no, because it looks BRILLIANT just like it is !!
The area inside the rope was poisoned today
Along with a six inch border on the outside
By the weekend it is going to look BLOODY FANTASTIC !!

"Cleaning Up The Area Around Tanya's Bike"

And would you like another job ??
Our Precious Daughter's "Ghost Bike" is on the Cook Highway ... on the way out from Cairns ... you may have seen it
It is situated near the Thomatis Creek Bridge which is between the Holloways Beach and Yorkeys Knob roundabouts
Over the years Sharon and I have been able to maintain it using Good Old Roundup !!
However, this recent wet weather has really mucked us around
Attached to this email are Five Photos ... see below
The first three show the look of the area when the Poisoning was being done
The last two show how it looked this morning ... weeds a metre high !!
We would like to have the area cleaned up
INSIDE THE WHITE ROPE
Are you able to whippersnip all this area down to "below ground level" ??
Naturally we would also appreciate all the rubbish / cuttings being removed
OUTSIDE THE WHITE ROPE ... 50cm WIDE STRIP
Again can this area be "cut down to nothing above ground" ??
With the mess removed again
VERY, VERY IMPORTANT ... THE WHITE ROPE
This is an integral part of this Memorial to Tanya
Please do not move it at all ... Special And Special Again
Yep, we would like the job done as soon as possible
When do you think you might be able to fit it in ??
As mentioned above, we feel that it would be great if you can cut both areas down to "below ground level"
Then, hopefully, the weather will fine up soon and we can again say "Hello To Mr Roundup" !!

As can be spotted in a few of these photos below, the "long grass" has been poisoned
This was done by the Cairns Regional Council as part of their Highway Maintenance Plans
And yes, it was a "Terrific Help" with all the rain about at the present time

Saturday 31st December 2022 . "Clean Up Time -- by Sharon" Due to the weather conditions, this whole area was covered in horrible green weeds
It has been raining ... soft ground ... so it would be a great time to pull them out
Sharon took off and spent a couple of hours doing just that
And below is a shot of the finished result ... FANTASTIC !! !!
