Diamond One ... Foul Poles

The main diamond is looking terrific as this photo shows ... taken Wednesday 26th January 2011

Still a few things to be completed

and one of them is the Foul Poles down each of the lines

It was decided to reuse the poles

supporting the shade sail

shown in the photos opposite

x

These shots were taken

during December 2005, and since then

the sail had become damaged and torn

and was no longer being used

x

yeh, yeh, yeh ... I know it's a lot
but I feel it is better to have them all on one page ... the job from start to finish
they may take a few extra seconds to completely download
if you have a broadband internet connection, they will not take too long to display ... just be a little patient

The equipment arrives

The job ... dig out these three poles

Starting on the first one ...

... and a change of bucket is required

Look how deep that hole is !!

A gentle nudge ...

... and out it comes

One down ... two to go

It's now ready to lift out

... and a huge lump of concrete !!

Ritchie was actually thinking of digging them out by hand !!

With 'time-and-rain' the soil in these holes sunk quite a bit
The League held a Working Bee on Sunday 27th March 2011, and during that, Sharon and David filled these with sand
