Overnight snow in Sapporo

It had snowed all night and I took some pictures out of the hallway window across the river, the city and the mountains
It was gorgeous !!

Today we were leaving Trev, Erin and Hugh who were staying for another ten days

Michelle, Errol and I took the train to the airport and had lunch there where I took some photos of the "plastic food"
My soup was delicious !!

Anyway, back to Tokyo and we found our 'ryokan' ... the Ginza Yoshimizu Inn

The Futons have been Laid Out

It was a little oasis in the city and I was so happy that it was so perfect !!
I took heaps of photos before we messed it up with luggage
I had read that if you ask nicely the staff will put your futons out for you
I asked and they did, so I was able to get some great pictures of it

It was raining so instead of wandering Errol and I found somewhere to eat
It was great ... we had tempura, tempura and more tempura ... we were full to bursting

Back at the hotel we took more photos of the room and then Errol and I snuck into the onsen
They are supposed to be single sex but we soaked together
We took some photos and then relaxed
It was a nice way to spend our last night

We went back to the room and I ate a piece of sacher torte (my fave cake) that I had got from Starbucks

I had the best sleep of my trip on the futon ... and I am pretty sure Errol did too !!
