Valentine's Day Present

We had planned a day of just wandering around and souvenir shopping
We wanted to find a shop that Erin had told us about ... all she could tell us was the general area and that it had big red pillars

We went to Shibuya and checked out the crossing again
(click here to see Tanya's trip to Shibuya Crossing on Wednesday 3rd February)

I also had to buy the eye drops requested by Cam, Mark, Piv and Brett

We were fairly sure that it wasn’t where Erin’s shop was and we went to another station nearby

Errol ... Yes or No ??

We did some more wandering and quite enjoyed spending time just walking and looking

We found some markets and I tried on heaps of shoes but didn’t buy any and Errol found some presents for his girls too

Tanya and Errol ... and their Crepes

We found a crepe shop and I got a crepe with bananas and chocolate and cream and caramel
Errol’s was pretty much the same
Warm and gooey ... and really yummy !!

We walked some more to finish the crepe before getting on the train and surprise, surprise we found the shop !!

It was a gold mine ... lots and lots of stuff and it was where we brought all of our souvenirs
Lots of chopsticks and plates and wooden kimono dolls and coasters and happi coats and cards and t-shirts
My favourite things were the happi coat I got for me and the one for Brett which was his Birthday Present
I also love my wooden doll and the handmade ricepaper cards wih antique kimono material on them ... very delicate

Final packing at The Ryokan

It was then back to the hotel to pick up our bags and head to the airport
It was about a seventy minute ride so we kicked back

Once checked in it was a bit of a rush to get some food and buy duty free booze, perfume and cigarettes
We got it all done in time and got to the gate where we met Michelle
She works for Jetstar and was flying Starclass
Jetstar is a budget airline and you have to pay my everything ... but she arranged for us to get a blanket, pillow, eye mask, ear plugs, meals and a video machine for free ... thanx Michelle!
It made the trip much more enjoyable
