Reconditioning the Mower Deck

During late October and early November 2010, the deck was removed and reconditioned
All bearings, the drive shaft, and universal joints, etc, were either repaired or replaced
In addition, the deck was sanblasted and painted back to the original John Deere Green

Here is the underside of the deck after it was sandblasted and primed

The 'tar / bitumen' underbody sealer being applied to slow down any further corrosion
and this was eventually applied to all the underside surfaces of the deck (the grey coloured areas)

Below is Ritchie assembling the deck
The paint job looks terrific
and the wheels at the front of the deck are also new

Just needs the belt covers fitted ... and it will be ready to go !!
