A note from Sharon

This reunion involves students who were in '1GH' Class during 1967,
which was our first year in high school, and continues through to our fourth year
I would call it the
"1967 High School Reunion"
because that is where Angy started gathering information - and that makes it exactly 40 years ago!

Wednesday 17th January 2007
It's been a long time since school - in fact 40 years - can you believe it!!
So I've decided to start the ball rolling and organise a Reunion for the Port Tech girls
The Reunion will be from our '1GH' class through to '4A' - plus 4th year Lefevre guys plus our teachers

Thursday 22nd March 2007
A big 'thank you' to those who replied to my email
Your responses helped to select the Reunion date - and I noticed a lot of travellers amongst us escaping the winter!
I have to say that I love the excitement and enthusiasm expressed by a number of you
We're going to have a ball at the Reunion!!
So much to talk about!! - and lots of memories, laughs and hugs!!

Fourty years ago we were in first year High School
Now our Reunion is only nine weeks away!

The Reunion is now just seven weeks away
I don't know about you, but I'm already getting butterflies!!
Don't miss this great opportunity to see your school friends from so many years ago!
Future reunions just won't be the same as the first one

Friday 18th May 2007
Three weeks to go and so far 36 students and teachers have paid and will be attending
I know others have indicated their interest, so we should have 40 plus on the day
Isn't that exciting!
Now a reminder to those who can't attend
Could you please forward your "Where Am I Now" information and photos
It would be great to have you there 'in spirit' at the Reunion

Wow, Wow and Wow!!
Wasn't that just the best Saturday!!
By the end of the day my mouth and jaw were so sore from so much smiling and laughing all day
I had a ball and I think everyone also had a great time
The decorations were fantastic
Thanks again to those who brought things along - particularly Patricia Holmes and Rhonda Jenkins
Finally, what an awesome speech by Miss Park
It was enough to bring tears to your eyes!!

Just for clarification, Gaudeamus wasn't our School Hymn
It was a song that was sung at Speech Night
It might also have been sung during Interhouse Singing Competitions

A Note from Sharon

Firstly, special thanks to Angy for everything she did to arrange this special day

I had a wonderful time!!
I am so pleased I was able to come down from Cairns for this occasion

It was such fun to see everyone

I don't know why I expected everyone to look different
I think maybe that I look different so I expected everyone else to - but they didn't!!
I am sure I recognised nearly everyone!!

My face was definately sore from smiling and laughing for five hours!!

We have all grown, worked, travelled, had families
and done a million different things during the past fourty years
It was nice to stop for minute and talk about old times with the people
we knew before "life" happened to us

It was great to see how we all turned out - and I reckon we all seemed to have done okay!!
