We're running this article from June 1st-to-3rd in our Program here at the Ballpark We're very thankful that Brett volunteers to visit the kids Not only do they enjoy hearing his message - they love hearing him talk, especially about kangaroos, crocs, etc!! ha ha!! For the last few years Curve players have teamed
up with Sandi Smith, a local representative for 'Home Run Against
Drugs', and visited local elementary schools
On May 7th and 8th,
Curve Pitcher Josh Shortslef and Curve Outfielder Brett Roneberg
visited Foot of Ten Elementary and Frankstown Elementary 2nd graders
on behalf of the program
'Home Run Against Drugs' is a drug prevention program for elementary
school children
Its mission is to promote healthy lifestyle choices among our
nations youth by empowering them with knowledge and self-esteem
to prevent tobacco, alcohol, and drug abuse
'Home Run Against Drugs' also involves guest appearances from
major and minor league baseball players at the school assemblies
