Congratulations! You have been named as a finalist in
The Cairns Post's 2000 Sportstar of the Year Awards.
Your outstanding list of sporting achievements during 2000 have
ranked you as one of only twelve finalists in Senior Division
of the Awards.
The 2000 senior, junior and masters Sportstars of the
Year will be announced at The Cairns Post's gala presentation
function at the Ballroom of the Cairns Radisson at the Pier on
Friday, February 16th 2001.
As a finalist your attendance is an important part of the night.
The achievements of all finalists in the 2000 Awards will be show
cased at the function as part of an entertaining sporting programme
that will also feature Rechelle Hawkes, three time Olympic Hockey
Gold Medallist, as our special guest speaker.
The Cairns Post's annual Sportstar of the Year function is one
of the biggest celebrations of sport held in the region each year.
As a finalist we would be honoured if you could attend, not only
to receive your award but also to help us celebrate and acknowledge
the quality of sporting talent that abounds in Far North Queensland.
We would appreciate advice of your attendance as soon as possible,
at which time a complimentary ticket for the dinner function will
be forwarded to you.
Further tickets will be available from The Cairns Post at $45
per person (including GST).
Please book additional tickets as soon as possible to ensure your
family, friends and supporters are able to join us in celebrating
your sporting accomplishments.
