"A throne fit for a King!!!"

***************************************************************

This page updated on Tuesday 10th July 2007

Our toilet was fitted with one of the "normal-cheap-plastic" seats
It was going yellow with age, so we purchased this timber one - which we still have

I cannot remember where we bought it from or how much we paid,
but I would guess at Woolworths or KMart and around $20.00 to $30.00

Just recently I saw the one below for sale on the Ebay Auctions
This appears to be an original, whereas ours is a reproduction

1920's Cedar Toilet Seat with Brass Fittings

A very nice original cedar toilet seat
Complete with original brass fittings
Approx age would be around the 1920's
The seat has some slight wear but it is in very good condition
It would be great for someone restoring an old house
It is very hard to find these original seats

Item location - Brisbane, Queensland Australia
This auction ended on Wednesday 11th July 2007
The starting price was set at $20.00 and there were twenty-one bids during the auction
The final selling price was $202.50!!!
