Want to hear something crazy ??
The weekend after the Memorial, I was feeling so down
Crying a lot and I just could not stop thinking about Tanya
I went out to my garden and I saw these flowers growing through
the fence into my yard
They just looked so beautiful and they made me think of Tanya
I cut the flower branch and put it in a vase
They are still in the vase ... I haven't been able to bring myself
to throw them out
When I looked on your website just ten minutes ago,
I saw that someone had given you a bougainvillea plant, like the
one Tanya had outside her house
Bougainvillea was what I had picked !!
No wonder they had made me think of her and no wonder I've wanted
to keep it
Isn't it amazing, that of all the plants in the world,
some bougainvillea grew through my fence and looked perfect for
picking that day
I have attached the photo I took of the bougainvillea the day
I picked it
Bethany
Here is a photo of the flowers on the
day I picked it and today, where they still are on my table

I love this ... thank you, Geoff and Sharon
This week I'm going to head to the nursery and buy my own bougainvillea
Friday 7th June 2013
I didn't go and get a bougainvillea plant this week because I
had another little 'Tanya Moment' happen
A girl in my class brought in a bouquet of flowers for me and
they were carnations
When Burger breaks up with Carrie on "Sex and the City",
he comes back to her with carnations, saying "I hear they're
making a comeback"
It was an in-joke between Tanya and I
When she broke up with Errol I took her some carnations
And I left carnations on her door stop on the 11th of May
These made my week !!
I told the girl that they were Tanya and my favourite flowers
together and how happy they made me and she felt so special
I love these 'Tanya Moments' I keep having ... so special ...
I miss her
When the carnations die I will go and get the bougainvillea plant
Saturday 15th June 2013
Here she is ... and isn't she a beauty !!
Carrying her from the nursery to my car, I had the biggest smile
on my dial
!! she's my "T Tree"
!!
I'm currently Googling on how to look after bougainvillea so I
can take care of the one I just bought
I got onto this website
Listen to the description of a bougainvillea ... it sounds like
a description of Tanya !!
A floriferous and hardy plant
Virtually pest-free and disease resistant, it rewards its owner
with an abundance of color and vitality when it's well looked
after
The bougainvilleas versatility is legendary
It can be coaxed into a small manageable pot plant or a sizeable
tree,
to spread itself vertically on a wall, or climb up a trellis and
form a luscious crown or burst forth into graceful arches
It makes one of the best hedges, bushes, and curb-liners
And as for bonsai or topiary purposes,
it has few equals, lending its complex branching to the pruning
shears, which promote even more unique and graceful forms
It is probably true to say that without the bougainvillea,
our roads, parks, and private gardens would be a lot less colorful
that what we see today
Everywhere we go, its brilliant hues and cheerful bursts punctuate
the lush green mantle that cloaks our tropical environment
Other flowering plants certainly pale in comparison
I enjoyed reading this and thought you might too

When I got back from my weekend with
her,
I went out and bought a hot pink bougainvillea just like the one
she had outside her home
Now, whenever I see one in that colour, I think of her
