Sharon and her Sisters ... a Gift from Lesley

Below is a look at our bedroom,
taken today, Tuesday 31st May 2011

Hanging on the wall on the left is a
"Rose of Sharon" cross-stitch
which was her 50th Birthday gift from her sister Fiona

This was during 2004

On the right there is something new
which I have just finished hanging

It was a 'surprise' gift from Lesley
and all the details are below

Before having a closer look, here are a few notes from Sharon

Lesley stitched one of these for me and one for Fiona ... and it was a lovely surprise !!

It is so pretty ... a quirky design and beautiful intricate stitching on linen

She told me it was for my 60th Birthday which, by the way, is not for a few years yet !!

I feel very touched that both my sisters have taken the time to make me something so beautiful
We all like stitching and we have all made something 'special' for each other

I am not sure what this is called
It is almost like a SAMPLER to showcase different stitches
I will ring Lesley tomorrow and ask her the proper name
