 Brett and Kahlia were heading off to Adelaide
to attend an Elton John Concert

Departing early on Thursday 8th December, they were not
returning until 2.00pm on Sunday afternoon, 11th December

Due to other committments, work had 'slowed down' on this
job so Richard, owner of RLO Pool Constructions, decided to
try to finish the landscaping during those four days so there
would be a dramatic change as they walked through the gate

The plan worked perfectly
as you'll see in the series of photos on these pages

PS - Geoff, Sharon and Tanya helped where they could !!

Laying the Broadleaf Turf

The section of the yard near the patio was done on Monday 28th November 2011 and click HERE for the details

The rest of the ground has been prepared and the top soil has been spread ... and a load of turf now arrives

Richard starts laying the rolls ...

... and it doesn't take very long to change the look of the yard !! ... an immediate effect !!

It's a thirty-plus degree day so Sharon gets "Hose Duty"

This area will be next when the second load of turf arrives

The Four Metre Pool Umbrella

While the turf was being laid, Geoff started to put this together ... and look at all the bits !!

The stand and arm are in place ...

... along with these end pieces ...

... and now the winch is bolted on

The cable is fed through from the winch to the umbrella support

Laying the Broadleaf Turf

Richard is back with more grass ... plus plants for the garden bed

The laying continues ...

... and now the yard is covered ... an instant terrific look !!

The Lipstick Palms are going in the ground and Geoff is now doing the watering

The other plants are divided into the five sections and are ready to be planted

The Four Metre Pool Umbrella

Hooking up the supports for the cover ... while Tai waits for a turn with the winch !!

The truck below is delivering the river stones which will be spread between the pool tiles and retaining wall

The umbrella is all done ...

... and Sharon gives it a test run ...

... and it's perfect !! ... but there was a 'mistake' by Geoff ... as you'll see on the next page ... ??
