 Brett and Kahlia were heading off to Adelaide
to attend an Elton John Concert

Departing early on Thursday 8th December, they were not
returning until 2.00pm on Sunday afternoon, 11th December

Due to other committments, work had 'slowed down' on this
job so Richard, owner of RLO Pool Constructions, decided to
try to finish the landscaping during those four days so there
would be a dramatic change as they walked through the gate

The plan worked perfectly
as you'll see in the series of photos on these pages

PS - Geoff, Sharon and Tanya helped where they could !!

Railway Sleepers for the Garden Edging

A few of these sleepers were laid on Tuesday 29th November 2011 and click HERE for the details

It's time now for the rest to be put into position

Digging out the trenches where the sleepers will sit

Lifting ...

... and placing them into position

.

A couple had to be cut and could be carried by hand

All done ... including the end piece

.

One more lift to go ... and this sleeper will block off the gap under the fence near the Pool Pump Shed

Friday 9th December 2011

Lipstick Palms and Fixing the Sleepers into the Ground

Due to another 'pool pour', Richard could not work at Brett and Kahlia's today

Geoff moved the Lipstick Palms into position ...

.

... and then flattened out the garden, compacting the soil around the sleepers to hold them in position

Next came the watering to make tomorrow's digging and planting a little bit easier

.

.

Nowhere near finished ... but it already looks great as a background to the pool !!
