Well, I didn’t know about the almost drowning incident
Had never ever heard about it !!

I have just rung Lesley and she had never heard of Dad nearly
drowning ... how strange we didn't hear of that
You would think that as we went off swimming at Semaphore and
Largs
he would have admonished us to be careful because he "had
nearly drowned when he was a lad" !!
