Line Marking in the Outfield

The four photos below show Brad Spence marking the outfield grass with the new paint line marker purchased by the Cairns League

Tuesday 13th April 2010

The Pitcher's Mound

The whacker-packer was again fixed and the crusher dust was fully compacted

Unfired clay bricks were used where the pitcher's foot lands to stop the 'large hole' from forming during every game
A total of twenty bricks were used and these were crushed, dampened, and then compacted
The two photos below show two unused bricks along with the finished result
Ant nest material was dug out to allow for the bricks and some of this was then used to cover this area
