CrossFit Program

NOTE - Brett was away and left this for Sharon and Tanya
Lachie Clink turned up and also completed the full program

A note to Brett from Geoff ... Official Scrutineer and Timekeeper

Burpees
Everybody did okay and completed the 10 in a minute
Lachie was very good, getting at least 6 to 9 inches off the ground with each of his jumps

Squat Thrusters
Everybody completed the 10 in a minute ...... Lachie and Sharon only just !!
Lachie started with 15 kilo each end ... then down to 10 ... struggled a bit
Sharon started with 10 kilo each end ... then down to 7-1/2 ... also struggled
Tanya started with 10 kilo each end ... and finished with 10 kilo each end ...... excellant !!

Big Tyre Flips
As Lachie turned up, Sharon and Tanya did 5 by themselves
Then Lachie joined in and they all completed another 15 ... with Lachie doing most of the work !!
On Tanya's suggestion, her and Sharon did another 5 by themselves
Plus, while putting the gear away, Tanya did "one flip" all by herself !!

Pushups
Lachie and Tanya seemed to manage these fairly well
Sharon had her bum up in the air a bit ... plus there was lots of 'squeaking'

Wall Balls
Because of a sore wrist, Tanya started with a 5 kilo ball ... threw high and completed all the throws okay
Sharon was a mess !! ... ball was dropping to the ground and one time it ran back between her legs ... started with the 8 kilo ball and did the last 20 with the 5 kilo ... improvement needed !!
Lachie was feeling "crook" and had to stop a few times ... started with the 10 kilo and finished with the 8 kilo

Kettle Ball Swings
Using a 16 kilo ball, both Sharon and Tanya completed these okay
Tanya was very good
Again there was "squeaking" from Sharon ... but she completed them all without using an 8 kilo
Lachie by this time was looking and feeling pretty bad ... but he completed every swing ... starting with a 24 kilo ball, he dropped down to 16 kilo

A note to Brett from Sharon ... A Disgruntled Participant

Thanks, Brett, for that programme ... we had such fun!!

With the Squat Thrusters I got through 7 with the full weight

As Dad said, with the Tyre Flips Tanya and I did the first 5 on our own and then Lachie joined us
He did the first one on his own I think !!
The second one landed on my toe and the third one jammed my finger !!
But then I got in the groove!!

I want to do the Wall Balls first one day before I do anything else
I know I have done them well before
Today they were awful ... but I did the first 30 with the 8 kilo ball with a few rests

I was disappointed with your Father's comments about my Pushups !!
I reckon I am good at them ... Dad said they were okay but just toward the end of the 50 my bum was up a bit

My Time was better than I thought ... when I saw the program I thought it would take much longer
