Planting - Stage NINE

Saturday 4th April 2009

!!--A New Begining--!!

Due to the tropical climate (mainly the heat) Sharon had not done any planting recently
But following advice from the local nursery, today she was back into it !!

If you look through some of the pages in the 'Are they Growing' section of this albumn,
you will see that Sharon has had one or two (maybe three or four !!) failures !!
BUT ... it was not really her fault ... it was mainly because of the time of the year that she decided
to plant them due to insufficient or incorrect advice from where she bought the seedlings, etc

So today she went back to the basics, putting in plants that she had great success with at the
same time last year ...
If these don't grow and produce ... well, it's back to buying everything from the supermarket !!

Here are the plants that are currently under Sharon's love and care

1 - Strawberry
planted 6th December 2008

2 - Cherry Tomato
new - planted 4th April 2009

3 - Capsicum
new - planted 4th April 2009

4 - Rosemary
planted 2008

5 - Parsley
planted 18th March 2008

6 - Raddichio Lettuce
planted 18th March 2008

7 - Oregano
planted 5th May 2008

8 - Thai coriander
planted 6th December 2008

9 - Chives
planted 18th March 2008

10 - Lemon Thyme
new - planted 4th April 2009

11 - Mignonette Lettuce
new - planted 4th April 2009

There has also been a "big-huge-monstrous" change in the layout of Sharon's garden
and below is how it looked for most of 2008 ... she was taking over the whole yard as you can see

... and here it is today, with everything contained in the cart
except the Lemon Grass sitting on the stump and which was planted on the 18th March 2008

Below are the details on all the plants put in the ground today
