Model DEH 2100IB ... Description

Front Aux-In Connection
Hook up your portable music devices with ease in an instant. Each new Pioneer head unit has a built-in AUX input on the front panel so you can connect your iPod, MP3 player and other portable music devices

Direct Connection for iPod
Connect an iPod nano or iPod and you can control menus, shuffle function, songs, podcasts and audiobook chapters in the iPod through the head unit interface as quickly and easily as you would on the iPod itself. Your iPod battery also recharges while in playback mode and a new USB mechanism speeds up "List Search". The iPod cable included

Built in 50W x 4 Channel High-Power MOSFET Amplifier
To minimize voltage loss in its head unit amplifiers, Pioneer built-in high-performance Power MOSFET integrated circuitry into all its head units. The MOSFET amplifier processes signals more efficiently at 50W x 4 maximum total output. This reduces distortion to virtually nothing at high frequency ranges giving you great clear sound

Easy Equalizer
You can adjust the sound according to the music you listen to. Switch between five preset equalization curves (Super, Bass, Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Flat) simply by pushing an EQ button. You can also boost the volume. Select among three levels of loudness (high/mid/low)

Detachable Face Security
All our entry-level head units have a detachable face that you can hide away or take with you when you park

Model DEH 2100IB ... More Features

iPod Direct Connection
Connect your iPod nano or iPod directly into the head-unit. Enjoy complete control of menus, shuffle function, songs, podcasts and audiobook chapters on your iPod through the head-unit interface as quickly and easily as you would on the iPod itself. Direct connection also recharges iPod during playback

MP3
Popular compression format that allows large amounts of audio files to be stored onto one CD-R/RW disc. Pioneer players come equipped with buffering capabilities, so they are all able to handle data rates from 16 kbps and VBR (Variable Bit Rate) recording

Auxiliary Input
It's easy to add to your Pioneer car entertainment system. Each of Pioneer's latest head units has a built in AUX input (front or rear) for connection to digital audio players and other external devices

RCA Pre-Outs
The standard connection system to carry sound from a Pioneer CD tuner to an amplifier or equalizer, RCA pre-outs provide easy output for connection to an external amplifier

Bitmetric Equaliser
Audio compression formats such as MP3 and WMA tend to lose high-frequency sound levels, especially in passages when recorded signal input is weak. Pioneer’s Bitmetric Equalizer (BMX) compensates for this by boosting playback of upper frequency sound, to the benefit of overall musical balance

Rotary Commander
The Rotary Commander works like a joystick, giving you control over the CD Tuner to navigate through radio stations, files and folders

Windows Media Audio
Windows Media Audio (WMA) is a music compression format developed by Microsoft Corporation. It uses the latest coding technologies to compress an original audio track, minimising the file sizes while maintaining good audio quality

MOSFET 4 x 50W
MOSFET stands for Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor. Provides high power (and efficient) output to all speakers for extra volume and clarity

CD R/RW
All Pioneer CD tuners can playback CD R/RW discs allowing you to enjoy your favourite compilations in car. In some models (refer specification chart), DivX files can also be played back from CD media

Detachable Face Security
Detachable Face Security (DFS) was invented by Pioneer and has become the best way to prevent theft. As the innovator, Pioneer's DFS provides consistent, reliable performance for the simple removal and refit of slimline faceplates

Easy Equaliser
Easy Equaliser (EEQ) and its step up Easy Equaliser Plus put sophisticated audio control at your fingertips. A simple selection of tonal settings (Natural, Flat, Vocal, Powerful, or Super Bass) are available, or you can access elaborate and precise parameters to create your own custom setting which is then memorised for later retrieval

Super Tuner
For superior AM/FM radio reception and enjoyment. Digital circuitry is used to deliver excellent radio performance in all conditions including situations where the signal is poor or degraded

iPod and Software Versions compatible with the DEH-2100IB are:
