A note from Geoff on Thursday 10th April 2008

This clock was listed on Ebay and the details are below

Another clock that is very similar in appearance to Sharon's

Victorian Era Nickel Plated Carriage Clock
Here’s an attractive old 1890's Victorian Era nickel plated carriage clock
in excellent original physical condition
That doesn’t run though!!
The original nickel plating is in excellent condition,
and there are no dents, corrosion, or unattractive scratches
All of the glass is in excellent condition as well, with no cracks
The clock stands 7 inches tall to the top of the brass handle,
and measures 5.25 inches wide, 3.875 inches deep
The right main spring is wound tight, and the left one slips
Though not running, this clock is a beauty,
and just needs the experienced person to get it going
I don’t repair clocks, just clean them up
The photos attempt to tell the story and show the detail
