(01) As Brett came in for his third plate appearance, the Phillies commentator said - "Brett Roneberg can be doubled up ... he has hit into seven double plays so far this season"

Shortstop comes through with bases loaded in sixth

Curve manager Tim Leiper has a saying when it comes to his shortstop, Brandon Chaves
‘‘The game always finds him’’ Leiper says without fail whenever Chaves comes through with a clutch play
The phrase is intended to point out how Chaves is usually around the action when the game’s on the line, and strangely enough, it does seem that way more often than not

The game found Chaves once again Friday night, and he delivered to lead the Curve to a 4-2 win over Reading at FirstEnergy Stadium

Chaves stepped to the plate with the bases loaded, two outs and Altoona trailing 2-1 in the sixth inning

Brett Roneberg to put the Curve on top to stay

Chaves is enjoying a strong season at the plate, hitting .285 with 31 RBIs
He carried only a .233 career average into the season and hit just .228 for Altoona in 2006, but he’s been a major part of the offense this year
Chaves has been especially good in the clutch
He entered Friday’s game hitting .330 with runners on base, .417 with the bases loaded, .373 with runners in scoring position and .333 with runners in scoring position and two outs

Luis Munoz (7-4) tossed six solid innings for the win, giving up two runs - one earned - on six hits
