"FRANGIPANI"

A note from Geoff

Sharon has been working on this cross stitch below for 'days-weeks-months'!!!
She finished it a little while ago and it was just folded up and stuck in a drawer

On her birthday I told her to get it out and we headed off to a professional framer
He had some terrific ideas about how to display it - and we took his advice
Very expensive - but it's worth it!!!

It is now in his studio being done and I'll add some photos to this page when it is done

Just wait till you see it!!!

"SACHI 'martini' SHOES"

A note from Geoff

We bought these from a friend of Tanya's who was unable to wear them

Sharon said she has been "dying for a pair of shoes like these"
......so we bought them on her birthday!!!

Four inch (100mm) heels!!!

They are almost brand new in the box
The label says $180.00 - and we paid $30.00!!!

A note from Sharon - after her massage

I arrived for my appointment at the tiny little room
where a rather young (I thought!) Japanese gentleman was waiting for me

I had to lie face down on a small raised bed
The massage is performed while you are fully clothed and no oils or creams are used

He couldn't speak much English but asked me to tell him if there was any pain

He then proceeded, for one whole hour, to do what is described below

Halfway through I turned over
and the work he did on my head, neck and shoulders was awesome!

It was as if he could see what was under my skin and kind of move it or fix it or stretch it!

It felt really, really good!

Shiatsu is an old, traditional, Japanese healing method
Shiatsu means “finger pressure”
But unlike the massages of the West, where kneading and friction is used,
in shiatsu pressure and stretching is the key
The shiatsu practitioner uses palms, fingers, thumbs, knuckles, elbows, knees and the feet,
to work on the body’s accupucture points,
along what they consider the body’s meridians or energy channels
It helps to balance a persons energy flow, and strengthen the vital organs
A shiatsu practitioner asks the patient to lie on a mat on the floor,
while wearing loose, natural fiber clothing
He or she will then use his hands, elbows, knees, and feet to work on balancing your meridian
He applies pressure to appropriate points to correct the injuries or imbalances

She has given me a "Massage Present"!!
I am having a one hour extra full body Shiatsu massage on Thursday
So I am going to be feeling very, very good - no cooking dinner that night
