Retro Nally Picnic Set in Case
Magic!!!
Never been used!!!
Here is a pristine Nally Sunlander picnic set for four
It is Australian made
It still has it's original cardboard box
and it still has the wrapping on the knives and forks!!
It comes with two Thermos brand containers
The Case measures 45cm wide x 39cm high x 13cm deep
and all up weight is 4.5kg

The case made out of plastic (?) but not hard, brittle like a bakelite
The cups and plates are a bakelite type

Hi, and this is a nice looking set!
I would like to clarify the last answer you gave to a prospective bidder

Could you explain that a bit more, as it reads like the case is brittle!
Should I understand it to be "not-hard-OR-brittle-like-a-bakelite"?

Hi Geoff, and the case is NOT brittle
I didn't realise it would be this hard to describe plastic!
It almost has a vinyl feel to it, and reminds me of a school lunch box,
but thicker with a 'pattern' finish
I hope I haven't confused things too much!

I have the opening bid in for this item,
and there are about 6-1/2 hours to go on the auction
I have studied the photo, and I cannot see any food containers in the set
Are they under the set of plates in the centre of the case? - or aren't there any?

The plates in middle are four small oblong shape,
and under them are four dinner size plates

Vintage Sunjoy Retro Picnic Set
Complete!!
It was made sometime in the early 1970's by Sunjoy!!
It is in it's original case!!
The set is in excellent condition!!
Very retro - and back in fashion today
The wonderful picnic set consists of:-
6 x knives
6 x forks
5 x teaspoons
Salt and Pepper shakers
2 x cups with lids
6 x cups
2 x large containers with lids
3 x Aladdin brand Thermos flasks - Made in England
6 x large plates
6 x small plates with cup recesses
The original yellow and white checked tablecloth
All the plastic items in the set are marked "British Plastics - Melbourne"
Also included is the original "Sunjoy" store labelling card (the large white card in the photos)
This is a great opportunity to buy a blast from the past
All the pieces are in mint condition
There are two keys to lock the case
The case is in very good condition and it is made of old heavy duty,
vinyl coated cardboard with metal reinforcing around the edges and corners
Great retro design on the inner surfaces
The case measures 53.5cm long x 34cm wide x 15cm high
Weighs 5kg

The contents consist of plates, cups and cutlery for four people

Rare Deco Retro Cased Picnic Set
Sheffield Cutlery and Bakelite Cups Plates Thermos
This is an amazing old picnic set
Unused, and still in the unopend plastic wrapping
It consists of six Ipex bakelite mugs with handles, six drinking cups,
two small lidded cups like containers, two lunch type boxes,
three thermos flasks which have 'Sunshine Made in England' to each
and 'Sixteen Fluid Ounces', six plates, and six knifes and forks
plus spoons and salt and pepper
The bone handled knives have 'Sheffield Stainless Steel England' inscribed on them
The case comes with original keys
and it looks like new condition to the inside and out
There are no rust marks
It certainly would be hard to find a picnic set in unopened unused condition such as this one!!!

Retro Picnic Set Complete
This lovely picnic set has travelled many times around Australia
with my Aunt and Uncle on many of their caravan trips
......although it has been very well looked after
The plates look like they have hardly been used!!
The set contains:-
6 plates with matching cups which fit into a recess on the plate
3 vacuum thermos flasks 'Made in England' in good condition
but there is a little surface rust on outside
2 large food containers with unbroken catches
3 small cups with lids
6 teaspoons
4 place knife and fork set
1 green and white checked tablecloth (clean)
All stored neatly in a strong case

Retro Picnic Set
I remember taking this on a picnic during the '60's!!
Mum was very particular and so all pieces are in place
The blue case is in very good condition
The metal corner guards, the rivets and the handle are all in very good condition
However, a little wear is evident on unguarded corners
The Aladdin vacuum flasks are in good order
It measures 45cm (18 inches) x 28cm (11 inches) x 12cm (5 inches)
It is in very good nick as you can see in the photos
One owner for 40+ years!!

It is a genuine vintage Marquis bakelite picnic set in it's own case
