Baseball

Blacktown Olympic Park's baseball facility offers a world-class experience for athletes

There are three international standard, full size playing fields, associated building and stadium infrastructure and extensive training equipment

The playing surfaces are professionally maintained to international standards by a dedicated team of grounds staff

Blacktown Olympic Park was a key playing and training venue for baseball during the 2000 Olympic Games
It has since been used extensively for both competition and international training camp purposes
Some of the world's most famous names have played at BOP including the US Baseball Team and Korean LG Twins, Hyundai Unicorns, Lotte Giants and SK Wyverns
Blacktown Olympic Park has also hosted International Series of Baseball, the Claxton Shield National Baseball Championships and both summer and winter Men's and Women’s Major League competitions
The Baseball facility has also hosted the NSW combined High Schools Competitions, the PSSA Baseball Championships and a variety of development camps

Three Baseball Fields
----------Left field - 321ft - 98m

----------Centre field - 400ft - 122m
All fields fully fenced with 8ft home run fence
Field One has a full padded perimeter
All fields floodlit for 'AAA' standard competition and/or training (2560.2.6-1994)
The main field is a sand profile legend couch (cynoodon dactylon)
The two secondary fields are Class B soil profile greenlees park couch (cynoodon dactylon)
The main field is playable in all weather conditions due an international standard sporting field subsurface drainage system
All three fields are fully irrigated
Home and visitors dugouts on the main diamond
Home and visitors team shelters on secondary diamonds with power and lights
Scorers shelters on second field
Double home and visitors bullpens
Shade covered practice bullpens to cater for six pitchers at one time
All diamonds have grassed outfields and infields with a mix of dolerite clay and sand infield and base running skins
The main diamond has an electronic scoreboard, commentary/scorers box with full PA and sound system (air conditioned)
Seated spectator capacity 1200 with approx 500 seated undercover

Stadium Infrastructure
Four change rooms that can be configured to two larger rooms
All change rooms have toilets, showers and wash facilities
Umpires facilities with toilets, showers and change room
Kitchen facility
Function room (145m2) with sound system, air conditioning and kitchen and toilet facilities
Merchandise kiosk
Three kiosks
First-aid room
Reserved area for wheelchairs
Disability lift
Access to all levels for the disabled persons
