Metal Canisters - Sugar, Coffee and Tea

These could be part of "Ballonoff" range ... or very, very similar to it !!
Refer to the "Other Auctions" section below

NOTE - there are a lot of photos on this page and it may take a few extra seconds to download completely

Well, they may be!!!

A note from Geoff on Sunday 11th December 2005
Look what Sharon found!!!
Yesterday we went to a few garage sales, secondhand stores and the like
One of our stops was at The Cairns Lifeline Shop
We were wandering around and Sharon spotted these

Their age??? - they look like they have some age, but who knows!!!
A "bit knocked around" - but that doesn't matter!!!
They look great on the kitchen dresser!!!
......and the best part is they only cost ONE DOLLAR!!!

This set may have been stored for some time
The canisters fit inside of each other, and in the photo below you can see
that the lid on the largest one has "some age and minor rust spots"
The other two lids, having been protected, are in very good condition

Sizes

- 6.25 inches high and 6.00 inches in diameter

Auction #01

Ballonoff Sweet Sue's Canday Vintage Tin

Would be a great addition to Cannister Set, Cookie Tin, Bread Box, etc
This auction is for a Ballonoff Sweet Sue's Candy Tin from 1979
It is in very good condition and was used for display only
There are no dents, dings, or rust
The inside is shiny gold and clean with only one tiny area of scratching near the seam line with paint loss
The lid fits tightly
There are a couple of tiny scratches on the front which are insignificant and cannot be seen unless you look for them (just wanted to mention these so the description is accurate)
The colors are brown, green, and greenish-yellow
The front reads "Tastin' Great Sweet Sue's Assorted Candy - If It's Sweet Sue's, It's For You"
There may be some fading to the colors or it may be made to look that way - either way it adds to the vintage look of this tin
This will match the other tins from the Ballonoff Company, Pentron Industries, and RandD Co
I have not seen any of these candy tins up for auction, so I don't think they are plentiful
The bottom is stamped Ballonoff, Colombiana, OH - Made in USA
The bottom rim edge reads 1979 Pentron Industries, Inc
It still has the original bar code sticker on the bottom
The tin is 6 inches tall and 5 inches across
A nice piece for your collection of vintage tins
