Brett
We did receive the report and CD's and Dr Busconi has evaluated
them.
As you may figure out, it is hard to evaluate a patient and get
a good feel on what is old and what is a new injury by just viewing
a film and not getting a clinical evaluation.
However, Dr Busconi will e-mail you his thoughts and recommendations
today.
He did explain to me that he thought that it would be very beneficial
that you have a shoulder specialist in Australia evaluate you
and your MRI and then have that physician contact Dr Busconi with
his/her findings and then we can discuss a treatment plan.
In order to expediate the process I suggest that you go to the
MRI facility and get another copy of the MRI/Arthrogram and bring
them with you to the physician visit.
Dr Busconi did feel that you did not have a labrial tear (which
is very good news) and he thought that most of your discomfort
was from the severe bruising of the humeral head.
He also noticed that you have a partial tear of the rotator cuff
but he could not determine if this is a result of your injury
or if this is something that you had for a long time.
It is not uncommon for athletes (throwing) to have a partial tear
and not even have know it.
So why not get started to look into who you can get to see you
and who as a good reputation for shoulder injuries and make sure
that you let me know when you set this up as well as all of the
contact information for the physician.
I know you are bored now and that you must be going crazy but
patience is a virtue and we need to make sure that we get this
right the first time or this problem could linger around for a
long time.
Talk with you soon.
