Heard during the game
(1) As Brett walked in for his first at-bat, the commentator said
that "Brett's hitting streak is now at fourteen games
and that is the longest in the Eastern League so far this season
and the longest by a Sea Dog player since 2001. During the streak
he is batting 0.339"
(2) He also mentioned these
statistics
----------Batting against righthanded pitchers
- 0.346
----------Batting against lefthanded pitchers
- 0.184
----------Batting with runners in scoring position
- 0.324
(3) After his single in his third at-bat, the commentator said "Brett has now reached rarified air as not many Sea Dogs have reached a fifteen game hitting streak and he did it with a good eight-pitch at-bat"
(4) The Sea Dogs were leading 6 runs to 5 in the top of the eighth innings - the Rock Cats had two runners on base with one out - the next batter hit a bloop-single to right-centrefield but "the ball took a murderous bounce and skipped passed both outfielders (Brett and Sheldon Fulse) and went all the way to the fence with both runners scoring and the batter ending up at third base with a triple. The Rock Cats have taken a 7 runs to 5 lead" (no error on the play)
