A Class Act
I would like to share a story that's a little old but since I have been on the message boards for just a few days, I figured I would share it.
Last season I was a huge Brett Roneberg fan.
I thought he was a great player and a really good guy.
When I found out that he was signed by the Red Sox Minor League I was quite upset.
So this March, my aunt, uncle, and I flew down to Ft Myers to stay.
We drove up to Bradenton to see the Buccos and all that.
Then one day we went to check out the Red Sox camp.
Walking around, I noticed this guy in street clothes who looked eerily like Brett.
As I got closer I knew it was him.
So I went up and talked to him.
He was completely surprised that I even knew who he was.
We ended up talking for about 10-15 minutes.
He was just a splendid guy to talk to.
Got my photo taken with him as well (if anyone wishes to observe it, let me know).
I told him I would be there for the "Portland v Altoona Series", and he told me he would look for me.
Sure enough, April 8-11 comes around.
I couldnt make it to the first game because of college exams, but I made sure to be there for the April 9&10 games.
I brought a sign that said "Altoona Misses You Brett".
Before the game started he noticed me in the crowd, and I came down and talked to him while he autographed for some little ones.
He remembered me and everything.
We couldn't talk as long as he had to get ready for the game.
And he liked my sign.
As the game began to come to an end he looked up from the dugout and motioned me to come to the first row of seats (I'm in Row 5).
He gave me one of the bats he used in the game.
I was so pumped.
It was such a sweet gesture.
Brett is a class act, and a guy that Altoona should miss.
He is by far one of the nicest baseball players I have had the pleasure of meeting.
If you're ever on here Brett, Thanks!

You're right, MissSection107.
Brett was/is a classy young man,
and if you want to really keep up with him and his career, go to this website...geosha@iprimus.com.au
This is a homepage kept up to date by Geoff Roneberg, Brett's dad.
It contains the complete history of the Roneberg family, and an up-to-date report on Brett's career.
I have corresponded with Geoff Roneberg, on a regular basis, since last baseball season.
He's a great guy, like his son, and I'm sure he will welcome another Brett fan.

Yes, I keep in frequent contact with Geoff often.
I, in fact, have some photos from the "Porland v Curve Series" to send to him.
He too, like you said, is a fantastic guy as well.
The site helps me keep updated on Brett's progress with the SeaDogs.
