Bio Notes and Stats
(1) Guthrie signed last in 2002 as the Indians' 1st-round pick from Stanford, but he could put himself on the fast track to Cleveland.
Guthrie is very polished with a "plus" major league fastball, curveball, and change-up.
(2) Tuesday 27th April 2004 (ex Baseball America) - This wasn't the way it was supposed to work.
By now, Jeremy Guthrie was either supposed to be in the major leagues, or packing his bags to go there.
Instead, the Indians' former No. 1 draft pick floundered at Triple-A Buffalo and was reassigned to Double-A Akron Monday

(A) "that ball is over the rightfield fence and over the six rows of bleachers
and it landed on the roof of the 'speed pitch tent' out behind rightfield"

(D) "that is an absolute no-doubter"
(E) "I have been commentating here for a number of years
and that is the longest home run I have seen at this ballpark"
(F) "the Sea Dogs have hit three home runs tonight
- Roneberg's was by far the biggest
- it was a bomb"

(2) "Brett Roneberg homered and drove in three runs in the win"

as the Portland Sea Dogs doubled up the Akron Aeros 12-6 Thursday night.
