Email from Brett
Just happy enought
to squeeze out a hit.
'Got robbed' of a double and and RBI by a diving third baseman.
Swing is good but not quite there just yet - wont be long,
and I am doing some great things in the game.
talk to you all soon

Email from Brett
Well another tough day for me.
3 in a row now and I am a little frustrated.
But I went into the Manager's office last night and had a little
talk about some things.
Mainly how I look from last year to now.
He mentioned that I looked more patient last year than now,
and said that right now I am chasing a little too much.
And I definately feel that as well.
Guess I needed someone to say that they see it as well to get
me back on track.
I am going to keep working
and go back to the 'confident-self' I have been like the last
two years - where when I went into the box I knew in my head that
'you couldn't get me out'.
Right now I am not as confident so I will start today to get things
going again.
I am going to start by taking some more pitches and gettting some
pitchers up in the zone to drive rather than just hit hard.
Those hard ground balls are a little frustrating!!!
(for you to I know!!!)
But my swing is good - that I know.
Just need to get the ball up in the zone and make the pitcher
come to me.
So it will start tonight.
Biggest thing is really that confidence in my head that 'I can
hit'.
I know I can and I just have to go out there and trust myself.
I will!!
See ya
A note to Brett
Hi,
and that was a good email.
Liked reading all the details, and hearing your thoughts.
You know we wish you success in hitting that round thing with
that wooden thing.
HINT - Each time you walk to the box:-
(1) look at the pitcher and think that he is Massa Endo!!!
and
(2) think of Sharon home making a sandwich - and you will hit
a homer!!!
Bye, bye.
Email from Sharon
Hi Brett
Hey - this is easy for me to say - you go to work each day to
do a job that you are well trained for and quite capable of doing
- so - head off to work each day to do the best job you can and
have a good time doing it just like I do and Tanya does and millions
of people everywhere.
I know you have to put it in perspective but the principles are
basically the same!
Stay cool!!
Love
Mum

hit" at bat but did not get a hit
Email from Brett
Hi again.
Felt great yesterday even though I only pinch hit.
I came in and lined out to left on a 3-2 pitch on the outer half.
Hit it great and I feel almost brand new.
I will be in there today and I hopefully I will keep it going.
See ya

- Game #34
Could not listen - internet
radio 'busy/overloaded'
Erie SeaWolves - home game at Blair County Ballpark
Playing first base - batting at #3
Had 4 plate appearances - 4 at bats
Facing a right-hander for
his four at bats, Brett picked himself up a single
......and excerpts
from the Newspapers and Team web sites
(1) "Chris Heintz led the Curve offense with two hits.
Brett Roneberg, Kevin Nicholson, and Ray Navarrete had
the other singles for Altoona"
Email from Brett
Hi all.
Had a great day today - and ended up 1 for 4 with a first inning
single.
Then I grounded out to second,
then smoked a line drive straight to the first baseman, and
then in the bottom of the 9th, with "one-on-and-down-by-one",
I crushed a ball into the wind to left.
Guy caught it on the track.
I thought I had won the game.
I absolutely crushed it, but way too much wind.
As I said yesterday, I just needed to find myself, and I did today.
More tomorrow.
Goodnight
Email from Geoff
Hi
and I sent you a copy of the email we received from Kip and Darlene
Lewis.
That game was televised - and they set their VCR!!!
And we are getting the tape!!!
So we will see that hit!!!
Good!!!
Have a great series v the Phillies.
Bye, bye.
Email from Ed Leipold, who was at Blair County Ballpark watching
the game
Brett did pop one pretty good yesterday.
Drove it the other way, but with the heavy air, and the wind swirling,
it only got to the warning track.
