A note from Kip and Darlene Lewis

The Altoona Mirror newspaper gave great coverage of the Curve throughout the season.
They have a web site, and these reports were also included there,
BUT
they only gave the headline followed by the opening paragraph and then 'suggested' that the rest of the article can be seen in the printed copy.

THIS WAS NO GOOD TO US!!!

Before the season started I put a note on one of the Pirates' Message Boards asking if anyone would be prepared to collect all the papers during the year and post them over on a fortnightly basis.

Kip and Darlene answered,
and we were able to read every edition of the Mirror, from Opening Day through to the final game!!!

It was great!!!
I was able to copy/scan the photos and articles where Brett was included,
and these excerpts appear in lots of places throughout these Curve pages.
