As Sharon mentioned earlier, she headed down to Tanya's Stairs
Went for a short walk to the northern end of The Esplanade as a warmup
Then she completed TEN SETS OF STAIRS
( no photos / videos ... geoffrey just sat and watched !! )

Today we received a big surprise from Brett
All he said to me was “take some photos”
For a long time Brett has wondered where his Grandfather's War Medals were
We knew they were in existence because we had a photo
Turns out Gavin, Geoff’s youngest brother, had them
In fact, Gavin organised to have the Medals and War Records sent to him
After many “be buggered” responses from their Dad,
he was finally given permission to organise the receipt of this important piece of history
It was a real labour of love by Gavin to get this done and have it beautifully presented
A keepsake for the Roneberg Family !!
What is also wonderful is their Dad, John Andrew Roneberg, was able to see them before he passed away
Brett was very keen to have the Medals and War Records and asked Gavin if he would consider giving them to him
Gavin lives overseas at the moment and they were in storage
Gavin very graciously agreed and arranged to have them sent to Brett
It was a very emotional moment for Geoff when he opened the parcel, as you will see from the photos
They will stay for us for a while until the time comes for Brett to have them in his own home
