Monday 25th May 2009 AC/DC sell out two Brisbane concerts AC/DC scheduled a second Brisbane show as part of their Black Ice Australian tour after tickets for the first show sold out in record time this morning Tickets for the first Brisbane show, at the Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre on February 25, went on sale through Ticketek at 11.00am today and sold out in thirty minutes Tickets for a second show at the Queensland Sports and Athletics Stadium on February 27 have also now sold out Promoters said about 500,000 tickets were sold nationally by 4.00pm today, including 96,000 in Brisbane, and sales were continuing It is the fastest-selling concert tour offered in Australia, the promoters say Two extra concerts have been added in both Sydney and Melbourne after the first sold within ten minutes Perth and Brisbane have each sold out a second concert Fans in Perth bought out the first concert in just seven minutes The Adelaide concert is also sold out, though a second concert has not yet been scheduled Benny Dunne, 20, of the suburb of The Gap summed up the feeling of fans when asked why he was queuing for hours in Brisbane to see a band more than twice his age "Cos they're the best f.....g band around" he said Many of those who queued, some for more than twenty-four hours, were buying tickets for family - the hard rockers have crossed the generations!
