Our Daughter's Christmas
Present seems to be having problems!!
Please let me tell you a story
Tanya bought her first home during 2007, and myself, wife, and
son, Brett, decided to give her the remote control for her garage
door as a Christmas Present
About a fornight ago, Brett rang your Company and arranged for
the installation to be done yesterday at 9.00am - the last day
you could do this type of thing before Christmas
Brett waited and waited - and no one turned up
He made a few phone calls, and in the afternoon the Manager/Owner
came out and installed the control
He showed Brett how to work it, and everything was perfect!!
We had arranged for Tanya to stay away!!
The three of us went to her unit, and Brett showed us how it worked
- again, perfect!!
He put the door up - he then put it down - and then put it up
again while we cleaned the garage a bit
We had arranged for Tanya to arrive home at 5.30pm, so at about
5.20pm Brett went to close the door and get ready for the surprise
But then the problems started!!
...................the door would not go all the way down - it just stopped
...................the mechanism seems to be 'spinning' but no movement
of the door
...................he tried to put it up again, and it went up after a
bit of 'stuttering'
...................he unplugged it, hoping this would reset the control
- still the same problem
...................he used the red-and-green cords to make sure everything
was as it should be - same problem
None of us have a clue about how this operates, so we felt that
the best thing to do was to unplug it and contact you
I want to assure you that the only door movements are as described
above
We did not 'break it'!!
Then Tanya arrived
We had wrapped the remote control and gave this to her
"Merry Christmas, Tanya, but unfortunately it's not working!!"
We know about "Murphy's Law" and that "things happen"
We are not going to yell, scream and swear - but naturally we
are very disappointed that this near-$500.00 gift has problems!!
Our request ...
Apparently your Company has closed down until the 14th January
- that is three weeks away!!
Is it possible for someone to come out before then to reset the
control ?
Today would be great, or even Monday!!
Whatever time suits you would suit us - someone would be there!!

Giesen Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2007 (New Zealand) The distinctive pungency and zest fruit flavours of Giesen, has captured the hearts of lovers of good Sauvignon Blanc internationally A nettle and gooseberry flavoured wine combined with a juicy, yet dry minerality Pale appearance with a fresh but neutral character on the nose Floral, green bean, white pepper character in this Sauvignon Blanc with medium weight entry and finish Tasting Notes Pale yellow in colour with a sunshiney yellow rim Bouquet shows lifted fresh and vibrant elements of ripe, sweet lemons and dried cut grass and herbs Marvelously perfumed with sweet gooseberry, more sweet aromas of fresh green garden-like herbs, and a distinctive dry pineappley character Fresh and vibrant ripe pip-fruit that unravel as the accomodatingly complex citrus flavours develop, a sliver of chalk to the texture, wide and tempestuous, juicy and succulent, punchy with satisfying fruit intensity Charmingly laden with classic nettle and gooseberry flavours on the palate, combined with dry, puckery orchard citrus flavours, a focused acidity along the ample length and a refreshing zest to the finish Judges Comments - Sydney Show It's a nice, middle of the road style of wine, a broad style but with good flavour in the finish A passionfruit and herb number Sweet, tart, tropical and lots of zingy acidity Nice acid support! The 2007 Growing Season This started with a wet spring with fortnightly rainfall leading to a poor flowering and fruit set but this was offset by the relatively high number of bunches per vine The weather improved from late January and turned into a long, drawn out Indian summer with a slightly earlier than average start of harvest Harvest of each block as it was ready with no weather pressure The juice was processed under anaerobic conditions and fermented cool in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh vibrant fruit inherent to Sauvignon Blanc, delivering a focused acidity and zest to the finished wine The Giesen was blended and fined, stabilised and carefully filtered Approx alcohol 13% Acid 7.8 g/L pH 3.32 Approx $15.00 per bottle |
Good morning
My name is Tanya Roneberg and from the email above you will see
that my brother brought a roller door opener for me for Christmas
The initial installation didn't work and yesterday it was fixed
There are still problems with the door
It goes up first time everytime but it doesn't go down the same
way
Throughout the course of yesterday after it was "fixed"
until I got home my brother, Brett, said that it worked fine
After my arrival home it took two presses of the remote to
go down
I then headed out of the gym and it took about eleven times to
go down
While I was out Brett tried it and it went down on the third time
When I came home it went down on the second time
This morning when I left for work it took eighteen tries to get
the door down - I counted!
Each time it goes down a short distance (the distance is different
each time) and then automatically goes up again
I would appreciate you looking into this matter as soon as possible
I would appreciate a call back this morning
My direct line at work is 40300586
I look forward to hearing from you
Regards, Tanya
PS - thanks for the wine, though I will wait until the door is
working properly before enjoying it!
Hi Geoff
Sorry about your daughter's Christmas pressy going 'a little
pear shaped', but we appear to have remedied the problem satisfactorily?
I hope she will enjoy our token gift of apology
Kind regards

Hi, and appreciate this follow up note
I spoke to Tanya yesterday after the final "sensitivity"
adjustment was made by one of your installers and asked her how
it was
...................Goes up perfectly!!
...................Goes down perfectly!!
...................Working smoothly!!
As I mentioned in my original note, it was a bit disappointing
that it didn't work straight away and that your Company then went
on the holiday break, but we all appreciated the immediate and
excellant service as soon as your installers returned on the 7th
January
It is still Christmas in Tanya's home!! ...... because she will
be sitting down to enjoy her bottle of Giesen Marlborough Sauvignon
Blanc 2007, compliments of EasyLift Cairns!!
Thank you!!
Regards, Geoff
