Antique "KBC"
Bean Cutter
Here is
another vintage treasure that Edenhope Antiques is pleased to
offer you
It is a geniune old vintage metal bean cutter
Made by KBC
It is in good condition for its age
Measurements are 9.50 inches long
An excellent example from the 1920's to 1950's at a guess
There is no rust, it is quite solid, and still usable
It could do with a good repaint and a bit of "tender loving
care"
but some of us preffer that rustic look, just as it is
Well loved and it would make a useful and a lovely display piece
A good conversation piece that would make you proud to own it
It is such a gem and a very collectable item
Bought from country estate - a special piece to enhance your collection
Item location - Edenhope,
Victoria Australia
This auction ended on Friday 10th February 2006
The starting price was set at $9.99

February 2006

"KBC"
Vintage Cast Iron Bean Slicer
This great
piece of early kitchenalia is in good condition and works well
The paint is worn and it would benefit from a new coat of paint
It is 20cm long and has an attachment for winding it onto the
table top
A great piece for the collector or someone with a early-Australian
style kitchen
A question from one of the bidders
Hi there, and what is the handle made from?
Also, is there any markings or stamps on it
Thanks, Nay
......and the reply
Hi Nay
The letters 'KBC' are raised and just near where the beans are
inserted
The knob on the handle is wooden
Good luck and best wishes, Kay
