Would be a great addition
to Cannister Set, Cookie Tin, Bread Box, etc
This auction is for a Ballonoff Sweet Sue's Candy Tin from 1979
It is in very good condition and was used for display only
There are no dents, dings, or rust
The inside is shiny gold and clean with only one tiny area of
scratching near the seam line with paint loss
The lid fits tightly
There are a couple of tiny scratches on the front which are insignificant
and cannot be seen unless you look for them (just wanted to mention
these so the description is accurate)
The colors are brown, green, and greenish-yellow
The front reads "Tastin' Great Sweet Sue's Assorted Candy
- If It's Sweet Sue's, It's For You"
There may be some fading to the colors or it may be made to look
that way - either way it adds to the vintage look of this tin
This will match the other tins from the Ballonoff Company, Pentron
Industries, and RandD Co
I have not seen any of these candy tins up for auction, so I don't
think they are plentiful
The bottom is stamped Ballonoff, Colombiana, OH - Made in USA
The bottom rim edge reads 1979 Pentron Industries, Inc
It still has the original bar code sticker on the bottom
The tin is 6 inches tall and 5 inches across
A nice piece for your collection of vintage tins

kitchenware that imitated antique-look labeling

The outside is in very nice condition, but there are knife marks
on the inside base from cutting cakes
It seals nicely to keep your cake fresh
Made of Tin metal with a wood knob on top
Marked on the bottom "Ballonoff - Cleveland Ohio USA - Made
In USA"

Made to match the rustic, country Americana kitchen flour, sugar,
coffee and tea tin metal canisters and tins set by Ballonoff Home

It's shabby chic and has some natural wear and age distressing
The front side has faded to green and the backside is a darker
brown
You could even it out by using some antiqueing glaze
Just perfect in an old fashioned primitive style country kitchen
Octagon shape with hinged attached lid
