GAME -THREE
Akron 11 - Altoona 6

A look at Brett's at bats
Playing leftfield - batting at #4
Had 5 plate appearances - 5 at bats
------1) RHP - runner at first base/two down - ball/called/ball, and then a "deep, deep" fly ball hit into leftfield - but the fielder made the catch on the track just in front of the wall!!! - out "F7"
------2) RHP - led off the innings - ball, and then a line drive base hit into centrefield - single - and the commentator said that "Brett jumped all over that 1/0 pitch and drove it right past the pitcher's ear!!!" - but out at second base on a following double
play hit by the next batter
------3) RHP - runner at second base/one down - foul/ball/foul/foul/ball, and then a drive into left-centrefield!!! - a double and 1 x RBI!!! - "a great at bat!!!" - went to third base on a ground out - and then scored on a hit
------4) RHP - the bases are loaded!!!/one down - and the Curve are trailing by two runs!!! - ball/ball/swing&miss/ball/swing&miss/swing&miss - strike out!!!
------5) RHP - runners at first and third base/none?one? down - fly ball lifted into shallow leftfield - out "F7" - it was not deep enough to score the runner from third base via a 'sacrifice fly'

Reports from web sites and newspapers
(1) "Altoona's fifth-inning rally included
RBI doubles by Roneberg, Chris Duffy, Shawn Garrett and Chris Shelton"
(2) "The lead grew to 8-0 before the Curve made a near remarkable comeback, scoring six runs in the bottom of the fifth and then loading the bases with one out in the sixth.
However, with the large Blair County Ballpark crowd in a tizzy, Akron reliever Jose Vargas recorded back-to-back
strikeouts of Brett Roneberg and Jose Castillo to end the threat"

A comment from Brett on his third and fourth at bats
3rd AB - that was a good at bat.
Must have sounded really good as it was damn loud there last night!!
4th AB - still 'pissed' at my next at bat though.
Oh well, it's in the past now.
Will go get them today.

Well, bad luck today.
I guess it was tough to reel 'em back in once they got the start.
Best of luck tomorrow.
I will be listening and cheering.

......and a reply from Brett
Thanks sis.
We all know the pitcher pretty well so I think that will help.
