The Smithfield High School Fete - and the organisers had arranged for a speed gun to be available - anyone could have a throw to see what speed they could reach - Brett was clocked at ???kmph - 10th September 1993

At home - dressed in his baseball clothes and ready to go and play in the Cairns Baseball "Summer Social" baseball games - these were organised during the off-season period in Cairns - November 1993
