..........and a reply to David
Hi David---and hello to you too, Brett.
Thanks for your wishes, and I have included your note at the end of this email for Brett to read.
Brett rang, but only had a few minutes to talk.
However, he did say that he is looking forward to seeing his past Managers, Coaches and team-mates at the Senators, and he is going to make this move a positive one for his career.
Regards,
Geoff and Sharon.

Hi Peter,
Just a short note to advise that Brett was traded yesterday to the Montreal Expos.
He is now joining up with their "AA" team, the Harrisburg Senators.
He was traded for a pitcher, Donnie Bridges.
This is a "short note" because we don't know anything else!!!
Was just a very quick phone call from Brett, but I will let you know of any other news that may arrive.
The weird and wonderful ways of minor league baseball!!!
Regards,
Geoff.

..........and the reply
Geoff,
Thanks...
At least up there he will not be alone... the Expos are loaded with Aussies & former ABL import players!!
Cheers
Peter

Hi Brett -
Well that is some big news.
You have had an eventful season.
I tell you what - it is obvious that someone has alot of interest in you
Robin said he thinks this is a really good thing and was happy for you.
He was going to log on and check out the team etc.
Me - I just want you to be happy and doing what you love doing.
According to the schedule you are on the road alot in July.
I've looked up all the road locations and travel time.
My plans keep changing - Florida, Portland, Calgary now Harrisburg - but I'd really like to see you play this year and on a home field but we'll have to see.
Brett - Keep Positive - your really making some huge steps here.
I wasn't sure how to read your feelings from your email - you didn't seem excited but you didn't seem bummed either
You have always been very well Focused and react to situations unbelievably well.
I'm Proud of you and will continue to follow where ever you may be lead.
Love Ya
Call anytime work or home collect.

..........and a note from his Mum!!!

Hey - it's all happening!!
Of course I don't really understand how all this works but I wish you heaps of good luck - no more injuries and success for the rest of the season.
Having a coach and manager you like and who like you has gotta be a plus.
